Our Beginnings

The OCA products have been developed on a very solid foundation. Noggin IT has been developing information systems for security and emergency managers since 2000, with a particular focus on asset and incident management, crisis communications and mass notifications systems. These solutions have been used by a wide range of Australian agencies at federal and state levels as well as the private sector.

In 2008, Noggin undertook a major exercise to leverage the capability from these systems into the OCA product series presented on this site.

Our systems in practice

These systems have had significant and far-reaching impact, most notably for managing and monitoring high profile events and incidents such as:

  • Victorian Bushfires (2009)
  • Repaptriation of Australians from Mumbai (2008)
  • Queensland and NSW Floods (2008-2009)
  • World Youth Day, Sydney Papal Visit (2008)
  • Equine Influenza (2007)
  • Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, Sydney (2007)
  • South-East Queensland major flood crisis (2007)
  • NSW Hunter major flood crisis, including Pasha Bulker ship grounding (2007)
  • NSW Indian Ocean Tsunami Relief Coordination (2005)
