The OCA products can be delivered to you via a range of options, including face-to-face training workshops and elearning modules. For the highest rate of system uptake, a combination of these training options delivers the best result.

training workshops

Noggin's end-user training programs are interactive and experiential, and leave users with comfort in their ability to use the system. Each workshop is half a day (3 - 4 hours) of computer-based training, approximately 40% theory and 60% practice, including a mix of:

• Theory - explanation of the sections of the system and how they work
• Exercises - users complete step-by-step exercises that build on each other
• Scenario - users work through a scenario in the system so they understand how the system works as it would during an incident (this is applicable to the Extended User workshop or client tailored workshops)

Clients can choose from 4 courses ( General User, Advanced User, Administrator, or Extended User), or selected modules from these workshops can be personalised or fleshed out into full courses.

E-learning

Noggin recognises that in some instances a cost and time effective option becomes necessary for the implementation of training at client sites. Clients are faced with a range of factors, such as:

• Geographically dispersed staff
• Staff with little time to dedicate to training workshops
• A need to scale up to hundreds of OCA users in a short period of time
• Pressures to keep training costs to a minimum

This is where the OCA elearning modules help, by providing easy to access, short modules that cover all of the system functionality in bite-sized lessons.

The elearning modules allow participants to complete the training in their own time; they can be completed at any time of the day (an internet connection is required) and they can be paused and restarted to suit the needs of staff with busy schedules.

E-learning provides real-life scenarios in an active learning and safe environment, and allows for ease and economy when introducing new or add hoc users to the system.
